Inclusive Practice

The educators at Macquarie Hills Community Preschool have attended some extra training on inclusive practice. Being inclusive means providing all children with an equitable and participatory learning experience and environment that best responds to their requirements and preferences. Inclusive practice ensures that all children, regardless of their situation, background or circumstances, can thrive and learn in their natural environment.

We aim to be inclusive through ensuring we meet each individual child/s needs. We do this through creating meaningful and individually tailored programs, developing positive parent partnerships and devising goals for each child. This ensures our program is accessible to all children in our care. We strive to make strong connections with all children and their families. Gaining a deep knowledge of their needs, backgrounds, and interests allows us to best understand how we can assist each child in Being, Belonging and Becoming successful, contented children.
