Water play provides hours of rich and valuable early childhood experiences to develop children’s creativity and imagination. Water play is both enjoyable and educational. It helps children to develop eye-hand coordination, numeracy and science concepts. It enhances social skills and encourages cooperation.
Summer is here and at MHCPS we enjoy playing in the water troughs and watering our gardens. As the weather has warmed up we decided to take our water play to the next level.
We all wore our “wet” clothes and enjoyed playing under the hose. Everyone including the educators were happily soaked! Children and adults were extremely wet and participated in lots of different activities including slip n slide, throwing water on each other and jumping over hoses.
